Upgrading the intercooler on your WRX can help to both increase airflow and reduce charge air temperatures, leading to higher, more consistent power! Where a front-mounted intercooler may shine with overall cooling capacity, it comes at the price of transient response. The COBB Top Mount Intercooler is perfect for applications where additional airflow and cooling is desired without the desire to increase lag.

The Intake Tube features a 3-inch mandrel bent aluminum construction for unrestricted airflow as air is summoned from the airbox to turbocharger inlet. A wrinkle black powder coated finish both protects the tubing and provides a classy aesthetic. Black 5-ply silicone couplers are held in place with included clamps for a leak free installation.

The Charge Pipe is constructed of 6061 aluminum tubing that transitions from 2.5-inches at the lower portion to 2.75-inches at the intercooler connection. An integrated billet transition smoothly takes diameter from 2.5″ to 2.75″ to allow for increased flow while maintaining clearance for larger aftermarket radiators. A wrinkle black powder coat finish gives an upgraded yet subtle appearance under the hood. The integrated billet turbo adapter utilizes a machined and anodized clip with ball detent to secure the charge pipe to the turbocharger housing and 5-ply silicone coupler at the opposite end makes for a straightforward and leak-free installation.

WHAT TO EXPECT?!?
Parts are cool and we all LOVE them, but the real question is HOW MUCH POWER WILL I MAKE! Thats a great question, and depending on your fuel (91 or 93 octane) and drivetrain choice (Manual or CVT) your numbers will vary.
Baseline Stock (Manual): 277 (Horsepower), 271 (Torque)
91 Octane: 314 HP, 346 TQ
93 Octane: 327 HP, 363 TQ
Baseline Stock (CVT/Automatic): 234 (Horsepower), 234 (Torque)
91 Octane: 263 HP, 306 TQ
93 Octane: 275 HP, 320 TQ
